Kristen is Senior Tax Counsel in the Tax Resolution group. Kristen concentrates her practice on tax controversy. She represents businesses and individuals in resolving IRS and State tax collection, audits, and appeals. She has extensive international business experience in audit oversight, tax compliance review, transfer pricing and financial modelling, having worked for more than 15 years in the private sector.
Prior to joining McLaughlinQuinn, Kristen worked as an Attorney at Reilly Law Associates working with Charles J. Reilly, Esq. At Reilly Law, Kristen handled all aspects of federal tax audits, state tax audits and litigation before the IRS, U.S. Tax Court and U.S. Court of Federal Claims. Her practice also included tax planning for individuals including the drafting of wills and trusts as well as representing estates on appeals before the IRS and U.S. Tax Court.
Kristen also has corporate in-house tax experience as she was a Senior Tax Manager for a large, multinational medical device corporation. There she supported and over-saw all aspects of regional/international tax matters including tax controversy resolution, tax planning, APA negotiations, transfer pricing, international project management, mergers and acquisitions.
